Disney has chosen to review Mulan all the classics that led him to live his glory days. The succession of remakes has given a lot to talk about to those children that we all keep inside of us, reliving the adventures that saw us grow up. Faced with this wave of premieres, nothing better than stopping for a few moments to analyze which ones deserve a hole in our memory and which ones should be forgotten.
We top this list with one of the first remakes of the company, trying to develop for more than an hour and a half what was initially a short film belonging to the movie ‘Fantasy’. Nicolas Cage does not convey the magic that many expected to see and the mythical broom dance in the animated film becomes something merely anecdotal.
While the original film managed to captivate through its endearing characters, this premiere directly released to Disney + falls short. It may be one of the most modest revisions to date, leaving it as a second-rate feature film.
